To make a reservation, the user searches the Contact list to locate the name address of the person making the booking, checks a list of tours for availability and then completes the booking. This process can take about a minute, including processing a credit card payment. With a click of a button, a Confirmation can be automatically sent via email or sent to a laser printer if the passenger has no email address.

Operating the tour is a breeze as well. Need a rooming list for the pre-cruise option? Click a button and you can email the list to the vendor or print and mail.

Based on an entirely new architecture, FileMaker 7 provides a more standardized Relational data model permitting a file to contain up to 1 million tables with a total solution capacity of 7 terabytes. To take advantage of FileMaker's new capabilities, we started from the ground up to recreate the functionality of the TourTools® Group and FIT Management solution and in the process we were able to update and enhance almost every function and process.

A new FileMaker user interface supports floating windows to simplify data entry, rollbacks are supported, additional "change" tracking has been added; the list goes on and on.

Not resting on their laurels, FileMaker engineers have bested themselves with the release of FileMaker 8, in August of 2005. This release adds even more features to the prolific FileMaker 7 user interface plus the benefit of speed enhancements.
