I recently encountered this error of a client's system running a FileMaker Server Advance (FMSA) 10 Two-Machine Deployment on a couple of Windows Server 2003 R2 servers. This error had me stumped because it is not listed in the official FMSA Web Publishing documentation as far as I can tell.
We recently had a client running Windows Server 2003 R2 upgrade from FileMaker Server Advance (FMSA) 9.3 to FMSA 10. Immediately after the upgrade, we started receiving "Unable to Launch the Application" error messages whenever we attempted to run the FMSA Admin Console.
We attempted to restart the server, but this had no affect on the problem.
Eventually, we figured out that Java had cached some FMSA Admin Console files which were no longer compatible with FMSA 10.
It’s been a few years since I attended an NTA event and I must say I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Kansas City next week. Last time we were there Pete Anderson was president and I was serving my first year as a volunteer leader on the NTA Board of Directors.
It has been almost 20 years since then and so much has happened. What a wonderful opportunity that was, to meet so many motivated members and participate in projects and missions for the benefit of the association and our industry.
First there was Kamm Tours, then Brennan Tours. A few years for additional development then came Gadabout Tours, Sports Leisure Vacations, Sun Tours and a host of other great companies. Our integrated software solution for package tour operators has come a long way in the past 2 decades.
If you have not seen TourTools® in the last couple of years you will be surprised at the robust new features.
