Credit Card Authorize.Net Change Mid-March

TourTools users who are using AuthorizeNet to process credit card transactions need to be aware that in mid-March there are changes being made to the AuthorizeNet network that may affect users’ transactions.

AuthorizeNet will be discontinuing use of the 2.0 SSL protocol in favor of the 3.0 SSL protocol. This change is being made in response to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard modifications enacted recently.

Most users will not have a problem and this change will be transparent. Users of older computers and older operating systems that have not keep current with software updates may find that their credit card transactions will no longer go through the AuthorizeNet processing gateway.

Specifically, users of TourTools with the eAuthorize plug-in series processing through AuthorizeNet should give us a call with the following information: your workstation operating system version and the version of the eAuthroize plugin.

You can reach us on our new toll-free number: 1-866-967-0145 ext 301.
