Biography

John is a computer programmer who has supported himself for 24 years as a group tour operator. He began studying programming languages at Miami University in 1970 where enrolled as a math major. He quickly came to his senses and graduated with a degree in Communications in 1974. Joining Kamm Tours & Travel, Inc. that same year he began learning the tour business. Building his first computer in 1979, he embarked on a dual career path that would ultimately lead to the formation of TourTech Systems, Inc., a software development company whose mission is to bring state-of-the-art technology to the front lines of the travel industry. As president of Kamm Tours for 11 years, John was an active industry volunteer, serving 2 3-year terms on the National Tour Association board of directors, a term as president of National Tour Marketing Services, 5 years on the Ohio Travel Association board of directors holding all officer positions, and most recently, finishing up 5 terms on the NTA's Technology Advisory Committee as chairman. John has traveled throughout North America lecturing on behalf of NTA and has visited most of the European countries. He makes his home in the hills of Eastern Ohio with wife, Linda, twin daughters, Sarah and Rebecca, and son A. J.
