Clicking on the large Module Navigation button labeled “Settings” at the top right of the screen allows access to various settings for the TourTools system. All can access User Settings; Business and System Settings are available to Owners and Managers only; Developer Settings are only accessible to the TourTools Support Team.

The USER SETTINGS are accessible to each TourTools user. These settings allow users to set preferences that impact their TourTools sessions only. Things like setting a color theme for their Dashboard, managing their email signature, setting a default window size, and more.

Default Window Size

If you use a small laptop to access TourTools v5, you might consider the “Tighten” or “Compress” setting here. If you have a larger screen, the default setting or “Expand” might provide a better experience.

Dashboard Theme

Add a splash of color to your Dashboard to change things up a little and personalize the application to suit your own taste or mood on a given day!

Additional Windows & Mode

Although there are NEW WINDOW buttons throughout the TourTools v5 application, you may find yourself opening the same 4 windows every day to suit your working style. This setting allows you to have those windows auto-open every day when you log in – saving you a little time.

The MODE setting is related to this – it allows you to specify if these additional windows should open in a cascading fashion or if they should open and then minimize (like they did in TourTools v3).

Task List Date Range

Tired of resetting the date range of your Dashboard Task List to suit your preference every day when you log in? Maybe the default date range is not ideal for you. Use this setting to set a new default date range.

Metrics & KPIs

Tired of resetting the date range of your Dashboard Metrics to suit your preference every day when you log in? Maybe the default date range is not ideal for you. Use this setting to set a new default date range.

You can also disable the Dashboard Metrics and alternatively display the System Modules (as they were in TourTools v3/v4).

Email Signature

This is a quick way for users to update their email signature information. This is the signature that gets pulled into emails when they are sent out of TourTools.
